CPR & First Aid Care for Your Best Friends

The importance of knowing that your pet’s care is in the hands of a Professional Pet Sitter who is trained and skilled in Pet First Aid & CPR can’t be stressed enough. It is estimated that up to 60% of animal hospital visits are emergency in nature. Knowing the skills and techniques of Pet First Aid can mean the difference between life and death, between temporary and permanent disability, between expensive veterinarian bills and reasonable home care, and between rapid recovery and long recuperation for the pet.

Dogs and cats are predators by nature, so they are great at masking when they don’t feel well. This instinct protects them from becoming prey, but when they do show symptoms of not feeling well, it can mean they are seriously ill. Hiring Professionals that can detect the subtle clues animals provide when they are feeling ill,can make all the difference. Our sitters all implement “Snout to Tail” assessments into their “petting time” with your pets. This allows us to note what is “normal” for your pet. Should new lumps or painful areas, or even sneezing be noticed, the owners are advised. Sometimes we notice something the owner has not.

At Laura the Pet Nanny, Inc. , all of our sitters have been trained by a Certified Pet Tech, Pet CPR & First Aid Instructor. This is a hands-on day long course.

Laura Beattie, the Owner of Laura the Pet Nanny, Inc., is a Certified Instructor for Pet Tech and is now offering Pet CPR & First Aid classes to the public. We will be offering a 4 hour Pet First Aid & CPR course and our 8 hour Pet Saver Course which includes everything in the 4 hour course as well as additional Pet Health information.
